Day One : Arrive Mumbai – (Bombay): Meeting and assistance on arrival at International airport by our representative and transfer to hotel. Room reserved from 1200 noon.
Mumbai – (Bombay): Morning half day excursion to Elephanta Caves. 9 Kms by sea from Gateway of India. A ferry ride across the harbour takes you to Gharapuri - the local name for Elephanta. The famed caves lie about two thirds up the higher of the two hills. The island was named by the Portugese after a great stone elephant was found when they landed there in 16th Century. The elephant now rests at the entrance of the Victoria Gardens in Mumbai.
